Panyo Training

The following video contains some interesting ideas on how to train with the Panyo (bandana or handkerchief).  Guro Edgar Sulite demonstrated many of these and also explored other areas as well.  I also remember Guro Dan choking me out while grappling once with a Panyo... lesson learned!

More Stick and Dagger

Take a look at the following clip on the Stick and Dagger and see if it aligns with what we have been working on in class.  Understand that, at least in my mind, that training should mimic combat and technique should be simple, direct and violent.

Combat Sambo

I had the good fortune to train with several groups of people is Combat Sambo and really enjoyed the experience.  They were are all hard-core martial artists who enjoyed kicking, punching and tapping each other out - but not necessarily in that order.  Enjoy this brief clip (set to classical music) of Combat Sambo Highlights.

Stick and Dagger Training

This movie is only a limited release schedule and will only be in theaters on February 09 and 15, 2012.  If anyone is interested in catching one of the showings let me know and we'll try to track down a local venue.
